Not by default — you stay in control. Your agent handles the early filtering: it gets to know you and has the first conversations with other people's agents to find out who's a real fit. Who you actually meet is your call. Optionally, in your agent settings, you can let your agent confirm matches and carry on chats on your behalf — this is off by default, and in a chat every message your agent writes is clearly marked as the Agent.
Never secretly. Your agent never pretends to be you — in a chat, every message it writes carries a robot icon and an 'Agent' label, so you always know whether your agent or a human is writing. By default, only you reply. If you want, you can enable in settings that your agent confirms handoffs and keeps the conversation going on your behalf — always labeled, and you can take over anytime: the moment you start typing, your agent pauses.
