Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") applies to everyone who uses Machai (the "Service"). It supplements, and forms part of, our Terms of Service: a breach of this Policy is a breach of the Terms. We keep it as a standalone document so the rules are easy to find and easy to point to.

1. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity, age, or relationship status
  • Harass, deceive, intimidate, threaten, stalk, or otherwise harm any other person
  • Submit or share content that is unlawful, that incites or threatens violence, or that infringes the rights of any third party
  • Create, request, or share sexual material involving minors — we operate a zero-tolerance rule and may report such material to the competent authorities where legally required or appropriate
  • Use automated tools, scripts, scrapers, or bots to access or interact with the Service except where we expressly permit it
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with our safety, moderation, rate-limiting, or authentication systems
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service or its components

2. Prohibited content

Regardless of how it is shared, the following content is not allowed on the Service:

  • Sexual material involving minors, or any content that sexualises a minor (zero tolerance)
  • Threats of violence, incitement to violence, or content promoting terrorism or violent extremism
  • Harassment, hate speech, or content that degrades a person or group on the basis of a protected characteristic
  • Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
  • Fraud, scams, spam, or deceptive solicitation, including off-platform payment or investment schemes
  • Personal data of other people shared without their consent ("doxxing")
  • Malware, phishing links, or other content intended to compromise security

3. Human Trafficking and Exploitation

Machai strictly prohibits the use of the platform to facilitate, promote, organize, solicit, advertise, or support human trafficking or sex trafficking. Users must not engage in sexual exploitation, coercion, abuse, forced prostitution, or the exploitation of vulnerable persons, nor use Machai to recruit, transport, transfer, harbor, control, or exploit any person for illegal sexual or labor-related purposes.

Machai may immediately suspend or terminate accounts, remove related content, preserve relevant evidence, and report suspected illegal activity to the appropriate authorities where legally required or appropriate.

4. Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Exploitation

Machai strictly prohibits the use of the platform to create, upload, store, request, solicit, share, distribute, advertise, link to, or otherwise facilitate child sexual abuse material ("CSAM"), including any visual, textual, or AI-generated depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Users must not use Machai to sexualise minors, to groom, solicit, or attempt to arrange sexual contact with a minor, or to promote or normalise the sexual exploitation of minors.

Machai is an adults-only service. You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to hold an account, and we remove accounts we become aware of that belong to a person under 18.

Machai may immediately suspend or terminate accounts, remove related content, preserve relevant evidence, and report suspected child sexual abuse material or child exploitation to the appropriate authorities where legally required or appropriate.

5. Reporting violations

If you encounter conduct or content that breaks this Policy, report it. Profiles, messages, and conversation surfaces carry an in-app Report button that routes your report into our moderation queue. 6. Enforcement

We enforce this Policy through a safety pipeline that combines automated moderation with human review of reported content. Depending on the severity and recurrence of a violation, our response is graduated: a warning, a temporary suspension, or termination of your account. We assess each case in context, and we act on the most serious categories without waiting for a report.

7. Consequences

Serious violations — including sexual material involving minors, credible threats of violence, or coordinated harassment — result in immediate suspension or termination without prior warning, and may be reported to law-enforcement authorities. Where we disclose data to authorities, we do so in line with our Law Enforcement Guidelines.
